Default Spam Protection Service

Hello, I have two issues:

-Sometimes (around this period a lot) spam emails are not seen as spam by spam assassin. Is there anyway to report that email (by e.g. a spam report email) to spam assassin, so that it can learn from its mistakes (i.e. assigning a low score to a spam email), it is the way that spam assassin works, by learning and improve its score rules. If no such report method exists, is sa-learn executed sometimes on the spam box, so that it can learn and improve its rules? That's the way it should be working, but I would like to know if it is used at eUKhost...

-Another problem I'm facing: when spam assassin doens't mark an email as spam, only the X-Spam-Status is set to NO, and the other spam headers aren't filled in. When it is marked as spam, then the other spam headers are filled in (the score, etc.). I think this is a little error, can that be fixed, so that I can see what the spam score is of the email that is not marked as spam. Because when I can see those scores, I can analyze the spam emails not being marked as spam and my normal emails to finetune my spam score threshold, i.e. setting it as low as possible where more spam is marked, but no regular emails are marked...

Thanks in advance...

Tom

SpamAssassin can directly report your spam to the three HashSharingSystem it supports: see UsingRazor, UsingPyzor, and UsingDcc for details on them. To report a message, enter:

spamassassin -r < message.txt

This SpamAssassin markup will automatically be removed.

You can also get more information from this article-

Hope this helps

Have you tried contacting support for an answer to your problem? Either support@eukhost.com to open a ticket or start a LiveChat through the main eUKhost website hosting (www.eukhost.com)?

I prefer the forum for this kind of questions, especially for the first one.

Fair enough, personally I can't be of any help because I don't use SpamAssassin all that much or have anything to do with it so I'm afraid you'll have to wait for a bit more of an expert .

Sorry I could not be of more help!

Its quite difficult for me to answer this kind of question so you will need to take help of one of our senior system admins from our helpdesk. I don't think that any of the forum members can answer this question.

No I have got to say that this one has me quite stumped. I am sure that you will find support, either through ticket or LiveChat, most friendly and fantastic service. They will have your problem sorted in no time!

Good luck!

Hope you managed to get your problem sorted in the end brouwer! .

Support are normally very fast in dealing with tickets and find satisfactory solutions to all problems that I have put to them so far - even ones that seem very complicated!
