Unknown error or disk quota exceeded.

Just had this whilst trting to upload files to fone-xs.com: Unknown error or disk quota exceeded.

I checked my disk quota and all seems ok, so just wondered if it was error on your side?
Any advise appreciated

If you've checked that its not your disk quota then that takes out half the error. Leaving just the "unknown error" part which isn't always helpful.

Are you trying to upload via FTP? And if so are there any large files you are trying to upload?

cPanel seem to suggest that mod_security rules or a large file (larger than the allowed amount) is the cause of the error if not the disk quota.

If you have access to WHM (I've forgotten what package you are on) you can try to increase the disk quota amount for that site to see if that makes a difference.

If nothing of the above seems to apply then I'd suggest raising a ticket, maybe theres another problem thats not covered here.

The account ' fone-xs.com ' has over exceeded the allotted disk space to your account i.e it has used 5.284GB (5284MB). You need to upgrade your account immediately or remove any unwanted files to FREE space in your account.

Seems the disk quota is the cause of the problem after all. Thanks for the clarification Bryan

Thanks guys, but at the time of checking in cpanel it didnt indicate the high amount used, and I though I was using about 10% of the allocated space.

Seems I may need a little more disk space, so will be in touch
