website still not working

ever since moving here, my PHP pages have been unable to update mySQL databases. It has been able to read values and display them, but updates and things so that do not work.

You must have gotten this error before, what is the difference between PHP 4 and 5 which makes this happen? I asked you whether there were other problems with upgrading from PHP 4 to 5 last time, and you didn't mention anything.
