Hi
I'm having lots of problems with mail from sutherland server. It's happening from multiple domains on that server. I recently moved my reseller account to that server and since then I've had problems with Yahoo and BTinternet - both sending (especially) and receiving. When I moved severs there were a few problems with the spf and SOA records which EUK sorted a week ago. I've waited a week to see if the problem resolves now the records are correct - but it looks like they continue.
I set up a Yahoo account so I could test sending from different servers and consistently mails from sutherland take up to 24 hours to get delivered whilst mails from other servers get through almost straight away. The situation with BTinternet is much the same. Occasionally I get 'delay' messages from the server saying the mail is held in a queue and will retry.
When i use DNSStuff to look at the records for the server/domains I can see nothing untoward that could be causing the problem.
Any ideas as my customers are starting to get restless

Perhaps Yahoo hasn't flushed their SPF cache, I can only suggest you contact them about this issue.

Any update - as the problem is still there - yahoo takes ages to receive the emails and btinternet mails just disappear half the time

please let me know your domains which are deferring emails to yahoo accounts. I will add Domainkeys for those domains and verify SPF records to sort this problem.

well it appears to affect all the domains - the ones I have especially noticed (and have been testing) are itinuk, popstarsacademy, jennieandmark, toysgifts.biz and serina

Mails are still being delayed by 12 hours or so

I have just had a message from my ISP (IDNet) that a e-mail I sent to a Yahoo address has been delayed.

It was sent at 11:53 yesterday.

Seems the problem is quite widespread.

Domainkeys have been added for these domains. please wait for 24 hours and then we can check how it goes.

let me know your domain name. I would like to have a look at associated DNS records of your domain to see if there's something wrong on our end.

hmmm. seems like we need to start fresh investigation on this problem. please let me know a domain name on which I can create a test email address and login details for a Yahoo account you may have available for testing purpose.

Yahoo is absolutely useless

I've spent so much of my important time in making everything perfect in DNS records of your domain but nothing seems to work. I will change hostname of server later tonight so we can perform few more tests tomorrow.

Just when everything was going good Yahoo! had to ruin it. Sounds about right with their record!
