Default 30 MB of what??

I received an email this morning telling me that my domain was over it's disk space usage limit of 50MB. I know that I can set these limits so it's not a big deal and I've just upped the limit from 50 MB to 100MB.

the problem is that my files only account for 10mb..so where does the other 40 MB come from?

Just a suggestion - Log files? That's what upped my usage until I realised.

you should check log files as well as the default inbox if you have set catchall for your domains. Spams fillup the default mailbox and sometimes you can see the default mailbox above 1GB.

To view a consolidated report on all your web sites & your hosting account, follow these steps:

1) Login to Plesk control panel.
2) On your Home page, click on the Report icon on top, this will bring up the report of the entire account.
3) To view the report of a particular domain, click the domain name you need & then on the Report icon.

** To get more details, select the Full Report option from the Report drop-down menu..
