Ban IP Address

Does anyone know if it's possible to ban IP addresses via the control panel?

Hi Merrick and thanks for the welcome!

I'm using Parallels Plesk Control Panel and don't think it's possible. I've clicked on just about every relevant icon but can't see anything to do with banning. I guess I'll have to try and figure out some way of using ISAPI rewrite to ban IPs or write something into my application.

I've got this woman that's been spamming my website for the last couple of days and she won't go away despite numerous emails!

Hi Lee,

Welcome to eUKhost.

Plesk control panel does not provide any option to ban IP's. However, you can submit a support ticket for this and supply the IP you need banned.

Nope, banning IPs feature isn't provided within the Plesk control panel. I'll check this with Parallels [feature request] if anything such would be made available in their next release of the control panel..

If you want a single IP address banned/blocked from viewing the website, we can get this done quickly from the IIS [Windows Web Server]. Or if you can provide us the spamming/access logs, we can have the IP blocked in the server's IPSec firewall, thus blocking it from accessing any services. Please initiate a Live chat session or open up a support ticket with our Windows Dept to get this sorted quickly
