Default End of my tether

This will be my last post. Lock it do or what you like. There's clearly no point discussing things with EUKHost. I thought this was a discussion board, but apparently it's an "agreement board". If you're not in agreement with EUKHost, you're shut down...

I've been up all night trying to get you to keep my website hosting live. That doesn't sound like to much to ask of a hosting company! But I give up...

However, before I go I have to respond to what John has said about register_globals. The solution he has quoted has to be done for EVERY variable in EVERY application in order to counteract the security risk that has been introduced. Since EUKHost cannot ensure this has been done in every application on the server (some of which will have been written by customers) then they cannot eliminate the risk. And customers should be aware of this.

I'm at the absolute end of my tether now. EUKHost's server is incredibly unreliable. And some of EUHost's employees have behaved disgracefully. I can't take any more of this and will be off just as soon as I can migrate elsewhere...

Personally I recommend learning to code with register_globals off. Failing that it can be turned on via adding a couple lines to a .htaccess file.

This is a discussion board, but only for basic issues which don't require the end user to give out too many details. Your issues on the other hand are server side meaning that it is best if they are discussed via a ticket.

Please open a ticket for the issues that you are facing since it is not suitable for them to be discussed openly.

If you have a problem with any members of staff then please take it up with Nick or Mark, their MSN and normal email addresses are available within their signatures. If you have a problem with the server itself then please open a ticket so that you can be migrated to another server, or if you have special requirements which can't be fulfilled on shared hosting then please upgrade to a VPS Hosting or semi-dedicated server.

For any further issues that you have, please take it up with a senior member of staff or open a ticket; they should not be discussed openly.

Topic closed.
