Default Limit has been exceeded on domain 'comports.net'

Hi Folks,

I keep getting this email every day and have no idea why. Can anyone shed more light on it for me please..??

Limit has been exceeded on domain 'comports.net' owned by client 'comports' (Contact name 'Ashley Byrne'):
Disk space usage: 245.557 M
Disk space limit: 250 M
Traffic: 426.064 M
Traffic limit: 250 M

I can't believe I have so much traffic coming to my (or another site I host) that would cause this issue..?

Is there any specif reports that show what page users are going to that causes this issue. Perhaps I have some rogue code that generates "Visits" to a page that is causing this.

ps. I'm still getting in excess of 100 spam or generally crap emails per day. COuld this have a bearing on the issue and if so how do I stop getting all of this spam mail..?

Many Thanks
Ashley

You'll have to upgrade to a higher package to have the limits lifted.

Thanks Flesso but I maintain I could not have that amount of traffic to my site as I don't advertise it anywhere. I can't see how so many people ore visiting it.

If I have to upgrade, can you tell me what the costs would be and what I would get for it.?

Thanks
Ashley

Hi,

I suggest that you email 'support [at] eukhost.com' explaining the situation to them, and they will happily check logs etc for you to see where the extra traffic is comng from.

If you have the silver package, then you will need to upgrade to the gold package which is currently £54.99/year.

Hello Ash,

You must have more than 1 domain hosted under your account [6 domains in total]. The disk space resources allocated to your main client account with respect to your account has been given more to a single domain. Login to your Plesk control panel & change the resource allocations to fix this problem..

In Plesk CP, click on the Domains > Limits & setup them properly to divide/adjust the space totally allocated to them.
eg: If your package has 800 MB of disk space & you host 10 domains, then you'd need to divide/adjust it among them 8 equally (80MB each), as per their usages, else they'd throw such errors... Same can be done with the traffic resource allocations as well

Thanks Guys and sorry for the delay in replying. I will adjust the limits accordingly.

re the pop3. How can I stop all of these mails. I usually get 10 per week that are actually emails for me. So far today I have received over 250 emails. All spam. If it's spam that's clogging up my resources how can I delete these automatically. I don't want to have to log in every day and clear the mailbox out.!

Thanks agaim.
Ash

Thumbs up

Hi Ash,

You need to configure & train SpamAssassin anti-spam filters for the email accounts setup on your domains. I've enabled it for your account now.

Please refer this for more info... Let us know if you need any further assistance..

OK

I Have spam filtering turned on.
Use server wide settings.
Trained for the last two weeks
Have the Delete spam option ticked

BUT still get 130 spam emails first thing in the morning on startup and then a further 100 or so during each day. They do not get deleted before my email client fetches them.

Please Please please can someone help with all this spam. It's clogging up my usage still.

Thanks
Ashley

I have configured SPAM Assassin server wide as well as for your inquiry email account as it is the one that is receiving massive SPAM emails. You can check if it has made any difference and apply same settings on other email accounts.
