Thumbs up 'my_thread_global_end' Error - Possible Solution?

Hi Guys,

I was suprised to find this error has not already been discussed on here. The error occurs on php pages which are running on Windows IIS hosting and also something to do with MySQL extensions. I have installed phpbb forums onto eurofighter and seeing the same issue. I have used MySQL and MSSQL databases, but the same error occurs.

There is a bug discussion on the php website: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=41350 which started on 10 May 2007.

The last entry seems to be promising - stating that MySQL have updated the php connector. Would it be possible for this to be tested at eUKhosts, as I am sure there are plenty of other users who would like to use these prebuilt packages for galleries and forums on their Windows Hosting.

Thanks

Adam.

Yes, we are aware of the problem and this can be easily fixed by changing the PHP status to run as an ISAPI extension from the Setup option of the domain in Plesk control panel.

This will not only fix the above problem but will also enhance the performance of your PHP application.

Hi,

I have just updated this setting, but it is still not working. Does it take a time to update, if so how long?

Please view forums.northantsguides.com for the error. Is this the same error as there are other failures - not sure if its related or not?

Thanks

Ad.

For some reason the error was inserted in your config.php. I have corrected it and the forum is working fine without any errors.

Excellent! Thank you for your help. There are not many hosting admins that would take the time do stuff like that!

Thanks again!

Adam.
