Default Statistics on Windows Hosting

I have a Windows reseller account on raptor (87.117.238.85). Since 13 September my statistics have not been working and I have not yet had any joy out of Eukhost support who say they are waiting to hear from Plesk support.

My websites were working with AWStats and it worked fine until 13 September 2007. Since then I have tried changing stats to Webalizer in the account set up section and although this appears to have worked in the Control Panel, nothing has changed on the website itself.

I set up log rotation but my logs are now filling up and it is not possible to delete any of the logs that were created with a size limit.

What appears to be happening is that no processing of log files is taking place. So now, not only do my websites not have any stats, my webspace is getting over-loaded with log files and I'm about to run out of space.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Many thanks, Ian

Hello Ian,

This problem will be sorted by the end of this week. Stats wont work on Raptor and swsoft Enngineers have also tried their best to fix the problem. We will be replacing hardware of this server with our new Q6600 configuration and you wont have any sort of problems on the new server as it will be setup with latest stable version of Plesk.

I am also on 87.117.238.85 and have the same problem.

I have sent support tickets but had no luck.

I have major issues with this.

I have not been told that I will be moved server. I cannot afford downtime, please give detailed specifcs as to when this will happen, data backup stategies and periods of downtime.

Not impressed that I have not been told about this.....

It wont be a new server, it will just be new hardware on the node. Hardware replacements can take as little as 10-20minutes which still meets your 99% uptime garuntee.

There wont be any sort of downtime during this hardware replacement. We are waiting for arrival of new hardware that we have ordered recently and we will send notification to customers once we finalize day and date for this upgrade.

How can there possibly be no downtime? You are changing a server....

I presume this will be done in the early hours of the morning GMT time?

This will be done in early hours in the morning and there wont be any downtime. Your websites will continue to work from either the old server or the new server during that phase of 30 - 60 minutes. Databases will be immediately switched to work from the new server once compete backup of databases gets restored on the new server. We have expertise in migration of servers and as this backup will be done using plesk transfer utility so there wont be any sort of permission or database problems.

I will be holding you to the permissions transfer point.

Permissions errors caused major problems from us at the start, should they default back again, it may take days to sort.

it has been scheduled for Saturday early morning. I will be sending email notification shortly with new IP address for nameservers. Those who have private nameservers will need to make changes to their private nameserver IP address.

I got the email, and then replied asking about the permissions, this was the answer:

Hello,

I am afraid but permissions will not be copied as it is as the account will be recreated and permissions were manually changed earlier. I would request you to please provide us with the folders that need write permissions and we will set that for you as soon as your account is moved.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to ask.

Regards,
Martin.

Please confirm that you will be coping all the permissions....

Hi

Having a very strange problem. Yesterday afternoon, I was on the new server. Since about 5pm yesterday, I am being taken to the old website. So there is an issue with the DNS being updated.
