I am sure that you are painfully aware of the importance of reducing further disruption to our clients.

Also, many of our clients use the IP address for mail server settings, and FTP host settings. Presumably this will change, so we would need the opportunity to warn them in advance of this.

Will this affect websites on 87.117.234.246 aswell?
IPs and name servers will change, although you or eUK should be able to copy over stuff like databases.

Yes it will, as this is a HostingController server.

This migration would be completely manual process so you will need to communicate with our Windows Team and get your data migrated on Plesk server. They will move your data and databases on the new server and you will be requested to verify everything with a temporary URL. Once your confirmation is received then they will proceed with DNS changes. They will point A records to the new Server from old server as this way you wont see any downtime for your websites.

This says that the migration is optional. Now I am being told that it is compulsory, and that the deadline is the end of the month. I do not have the time before the end of the month to deal with all these accounts. And MySQL is down now.

You can stay on HC however it will be unsupported. Tech support will do the migration for you however if you didn't purchase your domain names with eUKhost, you will have to change those yourself.

Earlier we were planning to get this server moved at the end of month but it seems that we wont manage to keep all services running on this server at a time. One or the other service will be down most of the times and we will keep on loosing more time and not to mention how bad it has been for our reputation.

There was nothing much we could do to guess this problem in advance. Most of you hosted on this server must have thought of other options but you dont need to opt for those. Our service is many times better than other providers and its just this HC server which is testing our skills.

Amusingly, I used to be on Plesk, and I'm only on this damned server because I was told that I had to migrate to Hosting Controller to get spam filtering. And I never got spam filtering, and here I go back to Plesk. Fnarr.

Question Current state of play?

Does anyone know what the current state of play is on 87.117.201.122?

There's been no email since Friday (7th) p.m. and websites go up and down. Like many others, we have a lot of very unhappy customers who are seriously losing business (not to mention time and goodwill).

Also, what is this about everyone on 87.117.201.122 being moved to another server with resulting changes in IP address and DNS addresses? We've heard nothing about this before now.

87.117.201.122 wont manage to get back to its old days. We have to move all accounts to our new Plesk Servers. We are moving all accounts manually so you will need to communicate with our windows support team to get your accounts migrated.

It may take some time for them to reply in this week but they are dealing with migrations of 2 big Hostingcontroller servers so you will need to wait for them to reply.

Thought I should post in here now as my website has been down for about 1 week.

I've found the support here very helpful usually.

I have sent a support ticket but had no reply, I take it it's because you are busy migrating still.

The reason I post is my friend who has their website on the same server managed to get his transferred in a day.

My website loads, but cannot access DB.

My URL: www.blob-wars.com

Let me know if you have submitted ticket for migration. I will get your account migrated to Plesk with priority. Database wont work on old server so we have to move your account to plesk ASAP.
