Will all folder permissions/paths, custom error pages, IIS settings, databases, email setups, webmail and admin urls all the same.

This is a major headache.
All permissions and all your data will remain same. We are restoring with the help of RebuildExpress utility so we have to wait till the restore process is completed. There's no other way to restore data of 400 accounts on a reloaded windows server.

Extraction of backup has completed just now so restore process will take couple of hours more. At least 6 hours more.

50% websites have come online now. We are waiting for completion of the restore process as it is expected to complete shortly. Once the restore process in completed then we have to make directory name change on the server which will bring all accounts online with latest mssql, mysql and www content.

This should complete before the end of day.

Restore process is in final stage. most of the websites are online now and once the restore process is completed then we will rename the D: drive which will bring websites online with latest data and databases.

Glad to hear the problem is resolved. Let's all hope this doesn't happen again.

Default Thanks

Hi Technical Support,
I've checked that my website and all seems to be fine now.
Thank you to everyone for your efforts and for rebuilding the websites succesfully.
Here's hoping this length of outage wont happen again.

Willie

My websites are back, sort of. My databases though present in Hosting Controller are not working. I cannot conenct to my MS SQL database through Enterprise Manager and my phbb forum is down, presumably because the MySQL database is missing.

Have the databases been restored?

Update:
Just tried to back up my database through Hosting Controller and this has failed. It certainly looks like my databases have not been restored to their previous functioning state.

My websites are back too but I am now being hosted on 78.129.133.140 but I have not received details of my domain's new account names & passwords. This is preventing my websites from connecting to their databases.

Please can someone email me these along with new FTP details and information on how to login to Plesk. Thanks.

it seems like few of the custom settings have been restored. I'm finding that custom error pages have are not in place and ssl certificates are not installed either

I haven't checked yet, but I'm guessing custom folder permissions all need to be set up again too.

this is absolutely terrible

none of the db connections, ssl certificates or custom settings have been restored

plus apparently mail has been deleted from mailboxes, and I'm finding that ftp is not working for any websites either.

I've raised a support ticket but heard nothing. And now-one is posting on the forum anymore.

Do you think they believe they've fixed the problem and all gone home?
