Very slow response from server "vigilant" 87.117.234.246 - UK Web Hosting | Dedicated Server Windows and Linux VPS Forum

Don't know if anyone else is expeiriencing this but the response time on the "vigilant" 87.117.234.246 server is very very slow. Takes about 3 to 4 minutes to change pages on Hosting Controller and my website is about the same speed too.

Also, have you tried contacting support either through opening a ticket at support@eukhost.com or by starting a LiveChat from the main eUKhost website? (www.eukhost.com). If there are any problems on your server affecting the response times then they will be able to tell you.

Also, if you do provide a link to your website I can see if it is as slow accessing it from my end as yours. Don't forget, it could be a problem at your end in your local area.

I have found the server response times to be slow also. The problem with contacting support is that this problem is erratic and by the time support looks into it, the problem has temporarily ceased. It has been significant enough for me to receive 'server down' reports from my server watching websites. It's a frustrating problem.

im sure all an admin needs to do is read his logs... these will show all poor downtime speeds/connection problems.

If that was so simple with hostingcontroller then we would have sorted it in no time. Problem with hostingcontroller is the way its web service works. Web service runs as a single process for all websites and the connection never gets closed. It keeps on clogging the server and performance reduces.

We are trying to get this sorted from HC developers as this has been the biggest problem I've seen with HC.

Glad to see that it is being looked into. Hopefully the problems will not be too bad and the HC development team will make a solution for it soon.

Is it just this server in particular that people are noticing problems on or has anyone noticed it on another server?
