Default Windows Shared Server - Down

Dear Valued Customers,

Our Windows Shared Servers - 92.48.68.32 is down. The primary hard-drive has crashed on the server. The DELL Raid Controllers also broke because of which downtime could not be avoided. However, we have data backups on the USB drive attached to the server.

We have the latest backups for MySQL as well as MS-SQL ( 08/06/2008 ). The website hosting files we have are for Friday i.e. 04/06/08. The OS is being reinstalled currently. Restoration will begin thereafter.

We apologise for all the inconvenience and trouble this is causing. We are doing our best to expedite this.

Hello,

We have tried to built the RAID array but it seems to have hanged in between.
The server is partially running, most of the services have started up on a reboot but few of them including MSSQL, MAIL SERVICE and Remote server seems to have failed to start. Since we are not able to connect the server remotely it would be very difficult to comment on which services are running on the server. When we try to connect the server in console it just shows a blank screen.

We are in process of setting up a new server and we will start restoring data from the backups as soon as possible. We will keep this thread updated.

We are in process of installing required softwares and moving backups to the new server.

Don't want to bother your support staff directly, as I expect that this problem will be sorted soon, but just thought I'd mention that IMAP on this server does still not work, and my domain is returning a 403, forbidden error. POP3 appears to be working fine.

Thanks.

edit: website hosting now online, still waiting for IMAP

Hi Hugh,

One of our windows system admins are working on it. This should be sorted in next couple of hours. We will let you know as soon as we manage to fix this problem.

All is well with the server. Full functionality has been restored. This was done at about 01.45 Am itself. All the website hostings. emails and databases are now online. We thank all our customers for the patience they have shown during this while. Eukhost is immensely grateful to each of you all.

Hello,

My website hosting and emails are now online, however the IMAP inboxes appear to have been completely cleared out, with no emails before the 8th.

There were some very important emails in there, so please can they be attempted to be recovered?

Hugh

That's brilliant, thanks. I only asked because I didn't know whether you were planning to restore them or whether it was accidental etc.

Thanks,

Hugh

Hello. I am still waiting for my emails to be restored. I have also lost all my email folders. For the last two days I have been told on live chat that it will be sorted out "in a couple of hours". I opened a ticket yesterday morning (NQV-52413-298 ) and yet still nothing has been done. I was also told last night that a senior admin would contact me but this hasn't happened.

I appreciate that you have been having problems but this is not good enough, I am missing very important emails that need to be dealt with ASAP.
