Granted, I won't be doing anything too secure with Chrome at the minute and I'll be avoiding any even slightly dodgy websites but I can see once the problems get ironed out it could well be up there with Firefox and maybe even go past it.
Yup, although to be honest, if Google followed the traditional testing stages, they would release it in Alpha, Beta's are generally more stable. But that's what I like about Google, they only release things into the final stage when they are 100% certain they are error free.

If anyone hasn't viewed the comic for Google Chrome, you can view it at this URL:

Google Chrome

It explains in detail about the browser, and how it was built.

This may be a little off the subject but IE8 beta 2 (which is discussed in that article) really isn't that bad at all. It renders all sites nicely, and it hasn't crashed once for me. But tabs are a little longer to load than IE7 but obviously that's only a minor problem. Tabs are something which I want to open fast and although IE7 and 8 fulfills my needs Firefox and Chrome, if you like is something I'll always need to use here and there but there isn't much difference if I use any browser except for certain things Firefox is the best choice.

Chrome isn't a bad browser at all and Josh cursing at the really, really beta release of Chrome really isn't necessary. Let's do a comparison while still favourably I use IE a lot: IE8 beta 1 was really "buggy", it rendered Websites horribly (but beta 2 is much better, may I add).

However, Chrome (and the first beta release) has bugs and some are noticeable yes, but consider the differentiation between the two browsers and you'll see that Google has done a good job for a first try on their brand new browser.

And of course taking into respect computers do exactly what we want, so bugs are bound to be here and there in any browser release. Even Firefox has a really annoying bug which has restorted me to uninstalling the browser (and for those that are curious of this so-called bug, its to do with the automatic deletion of private data as you close the browser. Fair enough, try and remove the setting and close the browser - its still there!! - and consider Firefox hasn't had this bug before).

Feel free to criticise when Google releases a stable version of their browser .

I use Google Chrome and quite like it, version 3.0.195.21. I.E.8 just burps and trumps on our PC which isn't slow (4 gig of Ram Athlon 64 x2 5600
Windows7RC) I prefer Firefox but my good lady has claimed that, she's not stupid is she

Highly anticipated, Google has eventually released the official beta version of Chrome browser for Mac, it has been also made available as an official Linux Beta.
