Default HDD Failure on Harrier

Dear Customers,

We have just had a hard disk failure on the shared server Harrier - 217.112.82.25. Our senior administrators are trying hard to get the server back up and running asap.

Further information & updates will be posted in this thread once we have an update. Inconvenience caused is regretted. We request you to bear with us during this while.

Not THAT happy however....
Seems you have restored all of my websites with a back-up of about 1 week old! I've lost some important files!

Database backup was of previous night. public_html backup was one week old as both drives of harrier failed at same time so we had no way to recover any data from the failed drives. We are investigating cause of this problem as 2 drives of same server cannot fail at same time.

At the same time, accessing any of my websites has become impossible through some ISP's (including my own), but with other ISP's no problem...

please contact our support team from http://support.eukhost.com and ask them to look into this problem. I am quite sure that they will manage to get it sorted quickly.

I would recommend that if the standard backup service is not sufficient then you could purchase a custom backup plan from as little as £12/year. You are unfortunate that both hard drives went at the same time - considering this its quite lucky that there was a backup that recent.

Hopefully support have managed to sort your problems for you .
