Network problems..
All servers on the subnet 91.186.0.* & 91.186.1.* are facing service or intermittent outages [Time outs] for small portions of time.
This is because of a problem in the datacenter NOC/router. The network engineers are working on this & hopefully will sort this issue ASAP.
You can come on live chat support or place a support ticket [including the traceroute results] for faster responses from our support team.
Also, we'll keep this thread posted regarding any further updates. We appreciate your co-operation in this regard. Thank you,
|

Can you please recheck ? We switched our Carrier this morning to sort out Tiscali problems. Seems like something didn't go right and we had to revert our changes.

Something changed at 15:47 ??
What was changed at 15:47 today?
Since beginning active monitoring of our hosting on 19/3, your services (HTTP, MS SQL database and POP3) have been abysmal, with regular time-outs. Checking service availability every 2 minutes (downtime retries at 30 seconds), the up time calculates at about 94%, well below your stated SLA and poor enough to be regularly noticed on the website.
But, at 15:47 today, the problems magically vanished.
Why?
You obviously knew there was an issue somewhere so why wasn't it referred to on a status page somewhere (something that is sadly lacking from your company).
You have just managed to hold off a formal complaint about the service provision (was to be written tonight).
Server is maverick

Hello Jim,
It seems you are using Tiscali backbone as all our customers using Tiscali broadband connection were facing packet loss problem from last 7 days. This was sorted today by switching our carrier.

Has this issue - the one first posted - been resolved? Because I have noticed that yesterday and today there were intermittent times when all my domains were down - including this very minute.
thanks,
Amanda

Hello Amanda,
I'm not able to figure out your domain name. please let me know your domain name or open a ticket with our Support Department for investigation. There has been no such Network problem in last 24 hours so I would like to investigate if anything went wrong with the server hosting your website.

I do think eUK should consider some kind of service page even if you just break it down into sections e.g.
Linux shared - 100%
Windows shared - 100%
Linux VPS - 80% - We are currently experiencing an issue with nodes .....
etc.

It does appear that the problem is resolved. I did open a ticket after posting here and someone made some changes to Apache, but I will try to keep an eye on it through the day.
Thanks

Excellent idea - a transparent display of server performance would be beneficial to all concerned. I would like to see it displayed server-by-server, then it would be really useful!

Hi folks,
All of my sites are taking ages to load up, as in minutes at a time.
I've just checked my cPanel server status and it's showing this:-
Can someone look into those worrying red warning lights?.
Thanks.

Hello Gary,
Alex had to run some quota check commands on the server due to which load increased for few minutes. He is done with it and load should come down now.

I'm seeing the same slowdowns (on Viking) and they've been going on most of the afternoon and are still present. Right now the server load is showing 13.8 (whatever that actually means).

Thanks Mark.
I'm at work right now, so I will have to go fire up my laptop and connect via my USB Broadband modem to view my cPanel to check it now ( for some reason our brigade network does not allow things like cPanel and webmail to be accessed through its network ).
I have went through all of my sites here on the work PC's and they are still showing significant slowdowns and time outs as far as loading up goes.
*EDIT* Just checked Status in cPanel.
Server load is showing green at 1.01 but the part where it shows the Disc/dev/sdb1 (/home) value is still showing red and 96%.

Hello Gary,
Alex had to kill his quota fix commands as the load continued to increase and customers were getting concerned about it. We will get this sorted later tonight as server can face problem if we don't get this sorted before tomorrow morning.
