It has been almost 24hrs since you promised to get my account back up and my data restored.

WHY HAS IT NOT BEEN DONE?

This service is rediculous, I want my data online NOW!

Plus the limits on my account need to be set back to what they were, I used to have 7gb space and 40gb/month bandwidth.

This should have been resolved by now!

So you never tested your disaster recovery plan before then. Have you even got one.

There was no upgrade ro anything attempted on the server. Network virus damaged networking service completely on the server and DC invested couple of hours in repariing the old drive. We lost another 12 hours after that in attempt to restore backup as it is and the n number of plesk and windows errors made us loose our patience. We started manual restore after Lunch ( today ) so the previous 24 hours were complete waste of time.

We had 2 different backups of all the data on the server and one plesk backup. None could be restored successfully and plesk was giving n number of errors. We lost initial 24 hours coz of this and then we started restoring all accounts manually.

If we could make out that plesk backup is not going to restore then we would have started manual restorations immediately and everything would have got sorted by now.

We are now setting up Mirrored drives on our UK ( London ) based servers and we will update 1 drive every 24 hours and other every week. This would keep us with 2 mirror drives of same registry and same windows configuration and incase of such disaster we wont need to rely on swsoft ( makers of plesk ). We opened ticket with them before 36 hours and thats still pending with them.

We gave first priority to restorations of web, email and databas services. Quota and bandwidth problems wont make much problem for anyone as of now so that can be sorted later tonight. Make sure that you keep a ticket open for our support team from our helpdesk located at http://support.eukhost.com and if its urgent then include "urgent" in message field. Those who have included ticket numbers over here have been forwarded to our senior system admins and they are sorting those.

We want to clear this messup today so that we can implement new disaster recovery for our windows servers. This has been one of our worst experience with windows after Dec 2003 and now we have accepted the challenge and we will come up disaster recovery plan which will be open for your review in few days.

Default Updates.

Copy of ticket raised.

Plesk still crashes. (http 500 internal server error)
Traffic is set to 4MB / month.
I have had a warning that I have exceeded space limits.
My web website hosting still does not work (your last crash cost me £1000 to have it re-installed), this time you will pay.
My email still seems to be bouncing.
You are costing me thousands of pounds in lost business and my customers are losing confidence in us.

This does not instill me with any confidence that any of this will be fixed any time soon, plesk does not even work yet, let alone anything else. Is it even worth restoring stuff to this server?

We need a realistic estimate of up time for web website hostings and we need it now. You are screwing with peoples businesses and incomes here due to a poor set up and poor procedures.

This is getting beond a joke!

Our customers are our first priority and we will never ignore them. This forum thread is answered by our sales and marketing executives only as all our support staff is currently assisting our Senior windows system admins with restorations.

You can add me to your MSN or AIM list and I will sort out your problems personally as I am also good with windows.

Having now been patient along with others, I now see some movement.

I can now login using plesk, hoorah after over 50 hrs.

Two domain names have been added. No web website hosting, but a domain name.

No emails though which is what was said all along in this forum that they would be restored!!

Please can i have my emails eukhost!

I would do the same if I was there in your place but things always look easy from other end. We had similar problem with our website hosting last year and we had no one to blame nor we could get on top of anyone as it was our job to sort the problem and 10 system admins together could not bring a single server back online in 24 hours.

I am not trying to give any excuse for this problem but this is something which was never predicted and we could never think of failure of plesk backup recovery.

Default It's like the Tango!!

Just when I thought things where going in the right direction, we now take a step back.

Back to only 1 domain name and nothing else.

Anyone like to give me an update as contating support only gets a "Give me a few mins" and then after 20 minutes there is no reply!!

I understand to a point mate, Im a fuming a bit at the mo.

Its just the time scale involved here, problems are always unforseen, its the lack of backup plans in place that worry me.

Default Whatever happened to planning for the un-expected!

Hi daledavies and welshylad

Whatever happened to being prepared for the un-expected. We all know that technology has its own way of telling us it's time to change my batteries, but to have no replacement ready in case of such circumstances.

It's like having the 4 minute warning, we all know where ready for the big bang, but at least we know if only we had a lead shelter just in case

Hows your day going so far welshylad? Thought after last night this would have been sorted by the time the sun came up!!

Both of my website hostings are now up and running. However, as other people have stated, my bandwidth/disk space limits don't appear to be correct: They are fine for my primary domain, but when adding another domain, the max disk space I am allowed for it is 0 MB, with 0 MB traffic each month. Also, my account is limited to having 6 domains, when it should be unlimited.

Finally, ASP.NET does not appear to be working on either of my website hostings.

EDIT: Both website hostings are now showing "Service Unavailable" after I attempted to fix the issue by changing the ASP.NET version my account uses.

We still have no email, email sent to our domain IS BOUNCING as domain does not exist. Looks like you still have DNS issues. Not acceptable after 2 days

Can I suggest this server is taken down as by you own admission it is not a desired solution and all account currently on this server be moved to a new UK based server.

We will bring website hostings back to normal functioning on this server first and we can move accounts one by one every weekend to eliminate any downtime that may come due to transfers.
It would now appear this is the only option, an additional 24 hours for a reliable server would be worth the wait. Currently we are waiting for a server this is not correctly configured and not reliable.

Default Major piece not transfered

to eukhost

Well thats a great thanks for restoring www. ukleadsharvest.co.uk but sorry, you seem to have forgotten the main part of the website hosting, THE DATABASE!!

Just received this message when trying:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]General error Unable to open registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0xe34 Thread 0x1098 DBC 0x1b51c0c Jet'.

/accessto/yourleads.asp, line 229

Any chance of the database being added as well, then I will keep waiting for the other website hostings and as always the most important part all my emails to be restored for use, as we are now well over our companies reply deadline of 4 hours.

Our windows admins of other shifts have been called early today and they will be clearing all the pending tickets for this server. If you have not opened a ticket so far then please do so.
