We don't allow SSH access as people can run scripts and processes which will overload the server.
We allow SSH access on one of our server and so far we had no complaints on that server but it has been our policy to keep SSH access limited to 1 server only and we don't wish to invest our time to find out reasons for giving SSH service on shared servers.
If you need SSH service then pay more and become root user of your
VPS Hosting or
dedicated server.
You can change permissions using file manager or a FTP software like WS FTP Pro. WS FTP Pro has got some good features for changing permissions of multiple files and folders.
All new accounts ( Shared, Resellers &
VPS Hosting ) are activated on RAID1 servers.
