Default RIPE Maintenance - 17-December-2008

Dear Valued Customers,

RIPE will be carrying out maintenance between 18.00 to 19.00 hours tomorrow i.e the evening of 17th December 2008. This may result in intermittant access to all services.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but this is completely unavoidable since its an acitivity which RIPE is carrying out.

As always, eUkhost would be grateful for the understanding and co-operation shown by all of you.

Yes. We send email notifications when we schedule such maintenance. Maintenance on hosting servers is completely different from Network maintenance. If we see a HDD in trouble or something wrong with hardware of a server then we are forced to schedule maintenance immediately.

We have better servers now, so the volume of planned or unplanned maintenance has drastically come down in 2008. I hope things will further improve in the new year once we get Dual Quad Core Intel Xeon E5450's
