Default Windows Node Problem

Dear Customers,

We are having an issue with one of our windows node. The node in the range of 92.48.97.* is suffering as a result of RAID ARRAY not being detected. We have the standard DELL drivers in place. The VPS administrators and the NOC team is looking into this.

This thread will be updated with further progress. Eukhost apologises for any inconvenience which is being caused due to this downtime.

Default data loss

Do you know if there will be any data loss on the VPS hosted on that server?

Any idea of an ETA yet? Is this a controller error or is the RAID data corrupted?

Hello Dusko,

Just had an update from our Admins, Re-sync is 48% complete. At the moment, we cannot give estimate on when it will be done however we will post regular updates in this thread.

Thumbs up Hey

Sorry for the delay in response.

We have tried by re-syncing the data on the disks that are currently inside the server, chances are the files at some point got "un-synced" so its not re-syncing the files to make sure there is not any loss of data.

But the rebuild did not have any affect, so we are still working on it.

Well the 12 hour mark has passed from when I first noticed this server was down, this must be a new record.

I'm sure this months SLA is well and trully blown by now. What is going on??? I am just glad I have not put anything important on there yet, not sure if I will at this rate. As I have only been a customer for a week, I am not sure what to make of this, I have never known a server to be down this long. Is this normal?

Yes, this is taking a rather long time to fix! - I guess there is some serious problem going on here.

I noticed the server down this morning when I got up and expected it to be temporary issue, but after coming on to the forums I found out different.

I also have a Linux VPS which luckily has all my customers on. The Windows VPS I'm just testing (at a slow pace) to see if I want to do a customers project is PHP or ASP.net. So I'm a little worried this is taking so long to sort out, my customers would go nuts if their sites were down for a whole day.

Is this a one off fluke of circumstance? - I thought the new servers were designed for this situation NOT to happen.

Shoecake, yes we're now below the 99.95% Uptime Guarantee. I'm disappointed that it's been down for so long but relieved it's not my main VPS, thank God!.

It does seem quite a long time to be down however if it is a hardware fault and that has been causing issues with syncing that will be the problem.

I'm hoping someone from eUK will be posting an update soon...

There won't be any sort of data loss as all VPS's have their data in D:/vz which is safe.

We are reinstalling OS on C: and then we will proceed with installation of Virtuozzo. All VPS's will come online once we install Virtuozzo.

Hello,

Data is being copied from the RAID drive to the new hard-drive which has been inserted.

This node is now up with full functionality. There were a bunch of problems which came up after the syncing was over. All these have now been fully sorted. All the VPS' on this node are now back online. There is no data loss what-so-ever.

We thank all our customers to have been patient during this time. Eukhost appreciates it immensely. Thank you all once again!

We reckon there should be no problems at all relating to the node being down or inaccessible. It is completely stable now. If at all there seems to be an issue, please get in touch with the VPS Support team. You can mail them at vps[at] eukhost.com

You may also raise a support request from here
