UK Registered IP Address

Q. My prime reason for moving my sites is to gain UK registered IP addresses so that Google geolocates the site as being in the UK. Are your ip addresses UK registered?

Ans. Yes. Right now we are filling our UK based servers for Linux cPanel Hosting, Windows Hosting, Linux Windows Reseller Hosting, Semi Dedicated Hosting and VPS Hosting . All our new servers for Linux, Windows, Reseller & VPS Hosting Service are Dual Hexa Core Xeon processor servers with 32 GB RAM located in our Maidenhead & Milton Keynes Datacenters.

Adult Content Website Hosting?

Q. Do you allow hosting Adult content websites? I wish to host a directory that lists adult websites and content?

Ans. We have no problem with hosting your directory that lists adult websites or content on our web servers however you will need to ensure that everything remains legal. If we get notification of copyright violation or illegal content then you may have to remove the abusive content or take the website hosting elsewhere. You should also ensure that you don’t host Child Pornographic images or any sort of Child Abuse content on our servers.

We offer various plans for Adult Hosting starting from Shared cPanel Linux Hosting, Windows Web Hosting, VPS Hosting, Semi-Dedicated Hosting to Dedicated Servers. You can get in touch with our Sales Department from our helpdesk to get detailed information on what software are supported on which of our web hosting plans. Setting up accounts on reseller hosting

Q. How do I set-up hosting accounts once my reseller hosting account is created ?

Ans. After your Reseller Hosting account is created, your main account will have it’s own Control Panel CPanel/WHM, just like all the other web hosting accounts you’ll create for your customers. However, the difference between your main account and all the other accounts, is that your main account will be given Reseller Privileges. You will have your own reseller interface called Web Host Manager (WHM) which is what you’ll use to manage your web hosting business: create hosting accounts, set storage space and bandwidth limits, suspend/unsuspend accounts, and much more.

Set-up Web Hosting Packages

While creating packages, you’ll want to decide exactly what you want to provide in the web hosting plans you want to sell. You’ll have to decide things like:

* How much storage space and bandwidth to allocate to each account.
* How many email accounts to allocate to each account.
* How many FTP accounts, Parked domains, Subdomains, Addon domains, and MySQL DBs to allocate to each account.
* How much are you going to sell your web hosting plans for.

Once you’ve decided all these factors, you may login to your WebHost Manager and setup packages. Packages make creating new web hosting accounts much quicker and convenient, because you’re essentially pre-defining all the above variables, so that you only have to choose a package name when creating an account.

No. of accounts to host on a VPS

Q. Can I host as many accounts with VPS Hosting

Ans. There is no limit set by us on the number of accounts you can host on a VPS. You can host as many accounts you wish as long as the space, bandwidth and other resources are available on your VPS. If you purchase a control panel with your VPS, you will be granted an unlimited software license and you can set up as many accounts as you wish. However, that does not mean that every package has the physical resources capable of hosting infinite accounts. We grant you enough resources to set up an ample number of accounts at each package level, but you will find that once you reach a certain level, you will require more resources in order to add further accounts. The types of resources you need will depend on the type of websites you host, and the individual resource requirements of those sites. Because of this, it is difficult to arrive at a specific number of sites you can expect to host. In case you need more resources you can upgrade your account anytime quickly and easily.

Dedicated IPs used to set-up Name Servers?

Q. I get dedicated IPs with my VPS which will be used to set-up nameservers, So will I be provided the IPs designated for my VPS? And then, with my domain registrar I register new nameservers with the IPs provided?

Ans. Dedicated IP’s can be used to set-up nameservers. Your VPS hosting plan includes 2 Dedicated IP Addresses, which can be used for your websites, as well as for private nameservers. Private nameservers as per your requirements like “ns1.yourdomain.com” and “ns2.yourdomain.com” instead of the default ones like “ns1.eukdns.com” and “ns2.eukdns.com”. This allows you to brand your services, and also allows you to have full control over your DNS. If you resell hosting on your VPS, private nameservers allow full transparency of the web hosting service, so your clients do not see our name at all when they use your service.

Once you order the VPS with us, the login details regarding your IP’s will be forwarded to you at your primary email address after your VPS is configured/setup. Thereafter you can assign your private nameservers to the allocated IP’s.

Domain Propagation

Q. What is domain propagation?

Ans. Domain Propagation is the period of time, or delay, involved in sending your domain’s address information to all the other name servers in the world. Name servers intentionally keep track of addresses for domains in their memory for a specific period of time which is defined by the administrator of the name server. This speeds up the process of looking up an address for a domain name. Unfortunately this “cached” information also stays in the name servers when it has been changed at the source of the original information (the domain’s registrar).

Name servers refresh themselves from once an hour to once a day. Generally 2-3 days time is a good estimate when a domain’s DNS information is changed at the domain registrar, after which everyone in the world can see the change.

MySQL version?

Q. What version of MySQL are you currently running?

Ans. We are running the latest stable build of MySQL (MySQL 5.x). Generally we do not include the version information on the FAQs as MySQL service commonly undergoes upgrades at regular intervals.

Setting quotas on multi-hosted domains?

Q. How do I set quotas on multi-hosted domains?

Ans. The quota can only be set for email accounts or the entire hosting account. With shared hosting, multi-hosted domains share the disk and bandwidth of the account as they are part of one account. If you wish to setup proper quotas for domains, you will need to upgrade to a Reseller Hosting, VPS Hosting or Dedicated Server Hosting, where you can create separate hosting accounts with their own quotas, and independent control panel.
