    Mac OS X Lion

So, Mac OS X Lion is set to be released in about a week's time (according to rumours). What do you think so far? I think Lion is going to be the best release of Mac OS X for a long time! With the new gestures, new Launchpad, Mission Control and Full Screen apps, I think it's going to be a great release of OS X.

The Exposé on OS X Snow Leopard and below wasn't really good - I hated using it. Much improved in Lion as you can see all your open windows and are grouped together with the application icon below the group of application windows.

What do you think of OS X Lion, and are you going to be buying it when it is released via the Mac App Store?

Oh yes, a definite purchase! Has the price been confirmed yet? Some sources were saying £25 to £35. Not sure what they were basing it on but if it is that its going to be an absolute must buy bargain - great price for an OS these days.

£20.99: Apple (United Kingdom) - OS X Lion - The world’s most advanced desktop operating system.

It's a bigger upgrade than Snow Leopard, that's for sure! lol

"The world's most advanced desktop operating system"? Oh, Apple and their superlative advertising... If it is so advanced, then how come so many games don't work on it? Windows 7 works like a charm for me. I'll say "pass" to Lion while I wait for Windows 8...

I somewhat agree with Apple's quite sensational (yet mostly true in context) marketing, but in regards to games it is because Windows is still the dominant platform; there are many games for Mac OS X now but not as many as what is available on Windows right now.

Oh cool, will definitely look at getting it from the App Store then. A lot more reasonable than new versions of Windows are normally priced! And they wonder why more people pirate Windows than Mac OSes .

Agree with what you said here. It's not a problem with the OS, more which OS the game writers decide to make the game compatible with. A lot of big games are now made available on both Macs and PCs.
