Login details of 117 million of LinkedIn users are possessed by a hacker intending to put the login credentials on sale. This is from the same theft way back in 2012 where an additional set of data has been released that is email and hashed password combinations. It is advised to change the password of LinkedIn accounts. On the other hand, LinkedIn is taking steps to overcome this issue.

Yes David. Legitimate actions should be taken as this act of theft can adversely effect the brand image and brand value thus provoking users to not to continue on LinkedIn.
