    Professional network LinkedIn Corp. was sued by customers alleging it appropriated their identities for marketing the site to nonmembers without their consent by hacking into their external email accounts and downloading contacts’ addresses.

    I'm surprised to read this, but also don't believe as to LinkedIn would do such & specially without customers/users consent which might land them midst lawsuits I've been using them since long & never seen them doing any such act, even when I've loads of contact connected, not even once. It might have been the users themselves, rather unknowingly clicking on their import contacts module & authorizing/granting access, again unknowingly. It's encouraged that user READ everything properly prior to clicking on anything which might seem juicy, than be embarrassed later!

      I really find this hard to believe... I'm keeping an open mind until the court makes its decision.
