Great move by Google. With so much of gov spying going on there is very little hope for privacy.
What kind of stuff you are storing in your Gmail account that made you to worry about Government spying? Actually, I am more concerned about Google spying on the Gmail account to display ads.

      Doesn't that worry you?
Nope, I am not rich enough to worry about privacy . Look, I follow and think about these issues, but I am far from an expert and have a very little knowledge of society. So it’s hard for me to understand why some people are so much worried about the Government espionage. IMO, people are just overreacting.

Anyway, End-To-End encryption for Gmail seems good.

So you two don't mind if the government comes over and reads your personal e-mails, messages and conversations with your friends and family? Doesn't that in itself feel a little invasive? These NSA disclosures have taught the public what governments around the world are happy to do, and how far they are willing to go. Yes, some of these intelligence activities are for the direct interest of protecting the public, but some activities have raised eyebrows - NSA's spying on the German Chancellor, for example.
