  • Clear Text Password In Signup Receipt

    Hello,

I have just signed up to a Windows Hosting plan and provided a strong password as part of the sign up procedure. I was therefore a bit surprised to find the password in clear text as part of the e-mail sign up receipt confirmation.

I've now logged in to the the client area and changed my password.

    I would suggest that:

    a) The password is not shown on the e-mail sign up receipt OR

    b) If the password is shown there should be some wording that asks for it to be changed.

    Regards,
    Paul.

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for your valuable suggestions.. the second one sounds more convenient for both sides. We'll surely take this into consideration & do the changes accordingly & shortly

      Hi Rock,

That would be a good precaution. I know it's unlikely that someone may be snooping in on your e-mails but you never know. Thanks for considering my input.

      Regards,
      Paul.
