    WhoIS info

    Hello guys!

I have been reading online, and I also spoke with a friend of mine who works in internet security, and apparently when you set up a site, it has your name and address, etc, on a WHOIS site. I am really worried about this. Do you offer an option to protect against this? Even if I have to pay extra, I am certainly glad to in order to secure my info.

I think all of the domains hosted by euk are protected by default. They may want to confirm or deny this.

I am just a voluntary moderator here, I do not speak for eUKhost officially!

      Hello WeRollin

We offer ID Protection for Generic TLDs like .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info which will keep your personal details like name, email address hidden in WHOIS. Cost of ID Protection will be £6/year for each domain name. If you wish to register a new domain name, you can select this option while ordering the domain name. If you wish to secure any registered domain with us, you can simply drop a email at billing[@]eukhost.com. Our Billing team will send you a invoice for the same.

Feel free to post if you have more queries!!

It is possible to opt out from having your address shown in the WHOIS for .uk domains as well. You need to contact your registrar and ask them to opt you out of the WHOIS.

Hope this will help you

Only domain name holders that are non-trading individuals can opt out of having their address details published on the WHOIS. If someone is using the domain name for business or trade purpose, then it won't be possible to opt-out the details of that particular .uk domain.

I adore the privacy, while I understand the need for it I really do not like my personal data out there on the web. If I want it out there I will put it out there, besides I have some crazy exes that like to randomly harass me.
I took a long vacation but I'm back!

Yeah, I am a big fan of privacy also. I wonder where WHOIS got the right to publish personal details of domain registrants from. Anyway, thanks Aaron for the info. I didn't know that you can opt-out from having your details published on WHOIS.

Thank you guys for clearing that up... I will be happy to pay the extra 6 euros for that online security. There is no reason not to want to keep your name safe on the internet.

LOL - Better watch out for those, cranzi.

It's nice to know that eUKhost offers WhoIs ID protection. I was actually thinking of registering a new .org domain and was pondering which company to choose. Now that I've found the excellent hosting services offered by eUKhost, I'm definitely going to choose you as my registrar.
