You can indeed use Lets Encrypt SSL for your websites hosted with us. However this would also depend upon the hosting service type you have with us. Kindly confirm whether your websites are hosted on one of our shared hosting servers or independent servers.

For Plex based VSL any EUKHost user can install 'Lets Encrypt' (yah!) and for WHM there seems to be an equivalent called 'Manage Auto SSL' which can be found here. Home »SSL/TLS »Manage AutoSSL

You should be able to have an automatic SSL generated for you anyway if you've got a cPanel account, unless your looking for a better SSL?

    Hi,

We have twenty or thirty sites on EUKHost that google is now forcing us to deliver via https. We do not need to provide security for commerce services but have to do his to stop Google flagging up our sites as 'insecure' and to protect their ranking in search returns.

Other hosting providers we work with provide a simple method to facilitate https using Lets Encrypt. This has enabled us to update each site to use https in less than 5 minutes. This has saved us contacting each customer, explaining why we have to do this and then charging them.... which would have been time consuming and probably lost us favour and money.

As every web developer using EUKHost's services will have to update their sites to use HTTP can EUKHost explain what they have put in place to help us to do this quickly and without cost?

    Thanks

OK, it sounds like I need to do more research to see what the different certificates offer - never simple is it!

Although you can use Let's Encrypt with any of our hosting services, I would recommend a paid SSL from an established certificate issuer if you would be conducting financial transactions online. Besides, the Level of Validation, Validity Period of the Certificate, post issuance Support and Underwritten Warranty are some of the other key factors to keep in mind while making a choice between the two SSL types.

    Let's Encrypt?

Hi, I just wondered if EUKHost supported Let's Encrypt? https://letsencrypt.org

I'm looking for a low cost SSL solution. Any ideas?
