For your server to operate correctly, it must be configured to utilise at least two legitimate DNS resolvers at the same time. The use of faulty or unstable resolvers will result in a significant degradation of its performance.

      1) To select which resolvers your server should use, go to Resolver Configuration in the Networking Setup section of the server's configuration.
Linux systems usually keep their resolvers in a file named resolv.conf, which stands for resolver configuration file. The resolver setup tool in WHM simply enables you to modify that file in a straightforward manner.

      2) Select the Proceed button.
In this field, you must provide at least two IP addresses. If you are unsure which IP addresses to use, contact assistance and finish this step later; your server should still be operational, although at a slower rate than usual.

      3) While setting up your server, some hosting companies will have already setup your resolvers for you. If your resolvers seem to be performing as expected, there should be no need to replace them.

      4) Once you're certain that the resolvers are accurate, click Continue to proceed.

It's a particularly good link since the arguments they make and the manner they express them are both very well done.
