Getting new emails straight into clients Hotmail inbox

Hi Doug,

I have setup one test mailbox [email protected]*or****** and sent few test emails to Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail and AOL. All emails reached respective destination mailbox in less than 1 minute.

I've sent this emails from my outlook express email client. Please let me know what settings you have in your outlook as only thing I did in my outlook was enabling "my server requires authentication".

Let me know if you want me to PM all headers of the emails I've sent for testing purpose.

Don't know who Doug is Mark, but have now received an email from one of your star players - Nick J - which should be more help than the previous 'helpful' email.

Did you send in HTML or PT ?

You say destination mailbox, I assume you mean that all of the test emails went straight through to their inbox's ?

Have you adjusted your spf's or domain keys ?

Hi Chris,

Your main account is on name of Doug and that's why I thought your real name was Doug.

Nothing was changed from my side as I simply created one mailbox on your domain and configured that in my outlook express. All my emails were plain text emails.

I didn't login to my hotmail mailbox from last 2 - 3 months and now I have more than 500 spams in my inbox. Some with typical subject like "Buy Viagra", "Cialis pills for you" & "Replica Watches". I'm not sure what Hotmail has done with their new spam policies, but their anti-spam algorithm stands no where close to what Gmail, Yahoo and AOL have.

In fact, have you tried sending test emails to aol ? I found they would go to to their spam folder as well ! !

I had used my personal email addresses for testing purpose. I'll ask someone from support to provide me with their test mailboxes on hotmale, Yahoo, gmail and AOL. Headers will be sent to you in next couple of hours.

I've sent 4 HTML emails to our test mailboxes on Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail and AOL. I've sent headers of all my emails to you.

My HTML message was huge and all 4 emails reached inbox of respective test mailbox.

If you can provide me with your hotmail or AOL account then I can send few html emails to those as well.

Many thanks for the input on this - it does help to make things easier to understand.

I must also say, that Nick J, is being his usual good help to us on the emails on this as well (I wouldn't expect anything else of him really!).

Does anyone else here have problems getting emails into other peoples inbox's (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc, etc), as opposed to their trash, spam, bulk folders ?

Hotmail and Yahoo are never guarenteed. You can contact them to try and get your IPs whitelisted but it's not always possible. The main thing is to try and check what you're sending to people is what they want to receive. If one person marks it as junk, hotmail can go pretty mad about things and think everything from you is junk. So it's a case of keep trying.

I don't think thats what they do to differentiate between spams and genuine emails. My Hotmail mailbox gets specific Viagra and Rolex spams daily and they keep on coming every day. Not sure how they can't block such spams. Yahoo has improved a lot recently and I hardly get 1 spam once in a month.
