    Re: Security issue

    Hi Paul,

No, this will not impact your website. This error is being returned simply because the SSL certificate is issued for "euk5.eukhosting.net", not "109.203.113.174" (which is the IP address of euk5.eukhosting.net). If you want to avoid this warning, you can log in to your cPanel control panel via the following URL: https://euk5.eukhosting.net/cpanel or https://euk5.eukhosting.net:2083 - both URLs go to the same secure cPanel login page as 109.203.113.174/cpanel or 109.203.113.174:2083.

    Kind Regards,

    Ben Stones

      Hi Paul,

You might want to try using https://euk5.eukhosting.net/cpanel or https://euk5.eukhosting.net:2083 if you don't want to see the SSL warning..

The SSL certificate is installed on the server's hostname, ie: euk5.eukhosting.net & not on 109.203.113.174, so when you try https://109.203.113.174:2083, you'll see the mismatch in the name of on which the SSL has been issued. Don't worry about the error - this usually occurs due to the fact the IP of the server is used on the certificate rather than the hostname of the server on which the actual SSL is installed. Control panels assign a certificate to the hostname of the server, be it self signed or issued from a certificate authority.

There is nothing to worry about it & this doesn't affect the SEO or page/site rankings at all. Even though it warns out data is still encrypted & transmitted through a secure channel after you add it as an exception to your browser when accessing the control panel using the IP address..
