There are different open-source software that is available using them one can implement cloud. Some of the open source software that can be used for cloud implementation are:

    KVM
Kernel-based Virtual Machine is an open source hypervisor which is used for Linux running on x86 hardware

    Deltacloud
Deltacloud is an open source project that was initiated by Red Hat. It is now an Apache incubator project, not just a Red Hat endeavour.

    Eucalyptus
Also, known as Eucalyptus Community Cloud is a sandbox environment in which one can test drive and experiment with Eucalyptus.

    OpenNebula
OpenNebula is an open-source toolkit for cloud computing. It allows you to build and manage private clouds with Xen, KVM, and VMware ESX.
