  • mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 40 seconds

    Some times running a PHP based script under mod_fcgid gives 500 error and the error looks like:

    mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 40 seconds
    (110)Connection timed out: mod_fcgid: ap_pass_brigade failed in handle_request function
    Now to fix the issue you just have to modify the apache configuration file of plesk domain exact path will be at:

    /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/conf/
    Inside the above directory there will be many apache configuration files like check for the last updated file it will look like

    13533988330.20132700_httpd_ip_default.include
    Edit the above file and put following lines in it:

    <IfModule mod_fcgid.c>
    ProcessLifeTime 7200
    IPCCommTimeout 7200
    IPCConnectTimeout 300
    </IfModule>
    and save the file and at last rebuild the configuration file with :

    /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/websrvmng –reconfigure-vhost –vhost-name=domain.com

    You are all done!!
