    How to integrate additional MySQL server instance on Plesk control panel on Windows?

    First you need to download MySQL, in this case we will download and install MySQL 5.5.41 and integrate it with Plesk 12.0.18.

    Install MySQL 5.5.41 on the server. Below are the steps:

    1. Double click the installer

    2. Click "Next"

    3. Accept the licence agreement

    4. Select "Complete" installation

    5. Click on "Install"

    6. Once the installation completes, click on "Next" button

    7. Check the "Launch the MySQL instance Configuration Wizard", if it is not checked and click on "Finish"

    8. Please follow the below steps for configuration

    Configuration steps, the steps may vary according to your requirements:

    1. Click on "Next", once the configuration wizard launched.

    2. Select "Detailed configuration" and click on "Next"

    3. Select "Server machine" and click "Next"

    4. Select "Multifunctional Database" and click "Next"

    5. Select the installation path and click "Next"

    6. click on "Manual Setting" and fill the concurrent connections and clck "Next"

    7. Please enter port number as 3307 (as port 3306 is already bind with your existing MySQL service) and check "Add firewall exception for this port"

    8. Select "Standard character set" and click "Next"

    9. Select serivce name as "Mysql5" (as service with name "MySQL" is already running ) and click "Next" (Make sure "Launch the MySQL server automatically" is ticked)

    10. Enter the root password.

    11. If you want remote access then ticked "Enable root access from remote machines" and click "Next"

    12. Click on "Execute", wait for the execution and click "Finish"

    Integration steps

    Integration with Plesk. Below are the steps:

    1. Login to Plesk>>Click on "Tool & Settings".

    2. Click on "Database Servers"

    3. Click on "Add Database Server"

    4. Select "MySQL" in "Database server type".

    5. Enter your server IP or hostname in "Host name or IP address *"

    6. Enter "3307" in "Port number"

    7. If you wish to run this instance as default then click "Use this server as default for MySQL" otherwise leave it.

    8. Enter the new MySQL server details in "Authentication" section and click "ok"
