The restoration was successfully completed last evening as confirmed by our staff in the ticket. As for the time required, it is hard to predict or quote an exact time since the process is automated and there is not much of manual intervention involved to speed up. Besides factors like size of data and transfer speed also play a role in the time required.
Please do let us our support team know if you face any issues with the newly restored server.

I see why you're reluctant to give times for how long a restoration will take, however the 2.5 hours turned into over 12 hours - any idea why that was?

Hi squidier,
As the restoration is dependant on data size and file transfer speeds, it is difficult to provide a good estimate, but as a rough guide I would say 2.5 hours.
Thank you for your patience and I want to assure you that we are working flat out to resolve any issues.
Kind regards,
Robert

VPS Server broken - cannot be repaired
"One of our node WK-LINVPS-007 went down as one of the component failed on the node. As this component that can't be repaired or replaced, our engineers have been working throughout the night for migrating the data to another server and tried to bring RAID array online on the new node.
As per the latest update from our engineers, due to the severity of the hardware failure, they are unable to bring the array back online."
Unless you had a backup with Eukhost, you've lost everything - I did have a backup and they can't seem to find it.
Nobody giving any updates about when this will be fixed - nothing on the service status page.
I have 2 dedicated servers and 3 VPS with Eukhost, once this is fixed - I'm out of here, fed up of the lack of communication.Tags: None
