Re: Expired Plesk License (Warning: You are Currently Operating Within the Grace Period of Your Prod
HI Ivan,
Hope you are well.
You haven't provided with exact details of Plesk version that you currently have before upgrading to 11. Also, it would have been better if you could shed some lights on the issue that you are concerned after upgrade.
You are suggested to initiate a live chat session with support team or you can raise a support ticket with VM details so that we can guide you correctly.
We at eUKhost would surely take care of Plesk upgrade. However, in nutshell we can draw following important points which you need to consider before opting out for upgrade to plesk 11.
1) It is always better to take backup at your local end before making any vital changes on your server.
2) We, eUKhost would take backup of your server (VM) on the node before initiating the plesk upgrade.
3) There are major differences between earlier versions of Plesk than Plesk 11. Hence, you need to plan whether you wish to upgrade or have a clean install with Plesk 11. The domains would get created as separate subscriptions with common (shared) IP address. However, if you have SSL installed on any particular domain then you should create separate subscription to which only you can assign dedicated IP address.
4) Most plesk up-gradation that we did earlier had a common issue related to DNS as some of the domain/websites could not resolve completely without being any configuration issue to it. Its because, BIND DNs would get corrupted in such type of upgrade activity.
5) We at eUKhost always value business association with our clients and hence, moving a step ahead, we can create complete new server with all the applications installed on it and would then migrate their domains, databases, emails etc on to new server. (Plesk licensing issue doesn't stop the services running hence, this can be considered as great transitional approach while upgrading the Plesk.) Both the server would be online for limited period of days for testing and verification of data and after confirmation from client, we would terminate the old, license expired versions of Server.
6) Upgrade would be carried out through automated process and hence, if the changes are irreversible, the complete server reload with fresh installation of updated versions of applications is the only solution with unwanted amount of downtime.
I strongly suggest to kindly contact support to understand your issue in details so that we can guide you accordingly. Its like the solution worked for others might not work for you unless the circumstances are exactly the same for the issue that you faced.
Regards,
Spencer

Re: Expired Plesk License (Warning: You are Currently Operating Within the Grace Period of Your Prod
Thanks Joel for giving us the Exact steps to get the licensing issue sorted. But as plesk 9.5 has reached End of life, renewing the license wont work as all the licenses have been discontinued and the only resort is to upgrade plesk to latest version.
Customers facing issue with license on plesk 9.5, even after following the above steps. Should contact support to get assistance in regards to upgrading the control panel to latest version.
Regards,
Solomon
