  • Could not write to /etc/yum.conf

    If you are getting error message "FATAL: Could not write to /etc/yum.conf" while running upcp then follow the below steps to resolve the issue :

    =========
    Check if any attributes are set for /etc/yum.conf
    [[email protected]]# lsattr /etc/yum.conf
    -ie- /etc/yum.conf

    If you see an i in the output, then issue the following command to release the attribute.
    [[email protected]]# chattr -i /etc/yum.conf
    =========
