What would be the best set up to support 5000-7000 visitors per day? Also we are expecting to have 10000 visitors by next 2-3 months.

Our Linux Shared or Reseller hosting would suffice your needs of hosting Ning or SocialEngine. Most people prefer SE over Ning these days, but choice is yours, we can provide you with the best platform to host either one or both of them on your sites.. If the visitors are going to increase, you can opt for Linux VPS or Cloud hosting to avail other benefits like SSH / root access to the filesystem, install custom system/application/networking software without any restrictions, etc. Or go with our scalable [Enlight] hosting platform which would be more economically beneficial [pay as you use]. Happy Hosting!

I am sure your business is going to expand and will become more pervasive in the coming months/years so going ahead with a cloud set up would be a smart step. You should be opting for a scalable platform like cloud where resources can be upgraded at any point of time rather than the stand alone traditional VPS's; shared environment doesn't suit your requirements. Considering a dedicated server which can further be upgraded would also be worth looking at.
