add SDF record to help sending to hotmail

Hi All,

I want to add an SDF record to DNS on my Windows VPS Hosting for one of my domains

I have done this before on Small Business Server and it helped emails get through to hotmail accounts, rather than fall into Junk

You can read more about SDF records at postmaster.msn

What do I have to do, as I cannot find a way of opening DNS Management.

- Are there any other ways of doing this?
- An other methods to help my emails reach AOL, Hotmail email boxes?
(I already have a reverse DNS entry pointing to the server IP, for that domain)

Hi Jag,

I've heard & studied about the SPF record but noting for the SDF record, can you make sure that you're talking about the SPF or the SDF record ?

I can see only this thread in google when i search for SDF records. Seems like you wish to setup SPF records .

Please open a ticket with our VPS Hosting Team and they will setup SPF records for domains you specify.

Hello,

We have added SPF record for the domain. You can add following in the DNS zone of the domain to add SPF record:
======
domainname.com 14400 IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx ~all"
======
