Paypal IPN anyone?

Not sure this is the right forum to ask this... but does anyone have a current PHP IPN script that works?! After years of using a simple ASP script without issue I'm having trouble finding a PHP script that will get the post from PP and then update my database - I know there's plenty of scripts out there but it's driving me nuts!

Ok, I'm going to go back to my old ASP script as I cannot get the PHP ones to work! The PP sample script is in PHP 4! That's how much they care. TBH I really wish I didn't have to have anything to do with PP as Nochex is sooo much easier to integrate but, hey the kids like it!
