What are the advantages and disadvantage ?

What are the advantages of Shared Hosting Environment? What are the disadvantages of Shared Hosting Environment?

The main advantage you get from shared hosting is that is a cheap option for if you are running a site that does not require much power or space. The control panels are kept up to date so you don't have to worry about that. Also scaling is fairly easy between any of the plans.

The major disadvantage is if someone sharing the server as well starts to use more of the resource pools than they should this can slow your service down although we do jump on situations like that quickly. You also do not have any access to install any custom applications such as a Silverlight based program.

Put simply you don't get the same control with a shared environment as you would with an enclosed or dedicated environment but you do get a lot to work with and it is a good option if you are on a budget or don't require too much.
Interesting, let me think on this....... to the think tank!

You basically get to use all the features of traditional shared hosting but on top of that you also get to experience the unmatched features of Cloud Hosting.
Incase of a Shared Cloud, the accounts are set-up in a Cloud, so all the features that a usual cloud hosting offers can be used by you as well. Usually a traditional shared hosting account was setup on a single hardware, if any of the existing accounts on that server tend to over use the resources, there is a chance that other accounts would face the impact. But in case of a Shared Cloud, since your account is set-up on a cluster of servers attached in a single network, you have nothing to worry about the resources. Despite if any of the other users tend to over use the server resources, there still are enough resources that can keep you site performing well on the web.
The most beneficial part of hosting your site on a shared cloud is the feature of 100% Uptime.

The best advantage of cloud shared hosting is, your data might be spread over more than one server, so in case of any disaster situation; if any node goes down due to any reason; your websites won't be affected, as there are other servers available in the cluster to cope up web hosting accounts perfectly. Overall, you gets the high availability for your websites.

In short: Cloud shared hosting is an advanced platform with collaborative resources. It sounds like quality service at cheaper price and I am sure, you will experience much better performance with cloud environment than normal shared hosting. However, it also depends on personal choice.

I think the shared cloud package is a really good option for a small website because it offers the best of both worlds (the economical aspect of shared hosting and the performance and uptime of a cloud account).

So it isn't all on one server? That's excellent! My last host (family-run) was great except for the downtime when they had server issues. I switched to a bigger host, but now I have downtimes *and* have to deal with a corporate set-up where it takes forever to get assistance with an issue.

Cloud sharing + the eUK forums + the level of support and interaction I have seen here make me thrilled to switch to eUK!

Cloud server hosting environment makes use of a number of different servers in a cluster to ensure that there will always be at least one server available to cope up with the load on the cluster or to replace a crashed server. For an end user it would appear a single server and work as a standalone server only.

The only shortcoming, if you can call it that, is that on a shared hosting plan, you are sharing an ip. Not many shared hosting providers have dedicated ips that you can buy.. And the System or Server crashes with shared hosting still remains a problem. If the load of so many websites is there on the server, it can crash which is main disadvantage of share hosting..
Agreed many host dont provide dedicated IP address on shared hosting but this is available with us if you opt for SSL, as justification is required for a dedicated IP address.
Regarding websites crashing, we can isolate that as well by providing you with dedicated application pool to a particular website.
