    Fixed- How to turn ON/OFF "Plesk Power User"

    Problem/Error
    ==================================
    Turning off/on power user on plesk server.

    We have also found that sometimes plesk update can also turn off power user.
    ==================================

    Solution
    Power User Interface can be enabled or disabled with the utility “poweruser”

    To turn off poweruser, run this

    %plesk_bin%\poweruser.exe" --off

    (User will be switched to “Standard User”)

    If you want PowerUser back on then go with the “--on” switch

    Done!

    Hello Gargeyak,

    I have tried executing the following command: poweruser.exe --off from the path %plesk_bin% but it shows command not found.

    Is there any settings needs to be done on the server ?

    Regards,
    Jen

      Hello Jen,

      You can execute the command from the following path on your Plesk server:

      cd %plesk_cli%
      poweruser.exe --off

      Hope this will help you to resolve the issue.

      Regards,

          Hello Team,

          I have recently created an account with your company for a Windows Shared Hosting plan and I came across this post of Plesk Power User. I am curious to know what is it about and is it needed for me to have for my hosting? thank you.

            Hello Fuzone,

            With the Plesk Power Pack, you can pretty much do everything you need, all from one simple administrative panel. The Plesk power Pack comes complete with the Mambo Content Management System (CMS), a Website Builder Tool to create dynamic websites, support for post-Nuke Web Hosting, osCommerce Ecommerce software for ecommerce web hosting, phpBB software, picture gallery software, phpBook for guestbooks, bbClone for website statistics, and gtChat for webshoting.

              Hello Fuzone,

              Now there is a special modification of the user interface provided by the Parallel Plesk panel called "Power User Interface".

              I will describe "Power User Interface" as a combination of Powerful hosting management features of the parallel Plesk product line and simplicity of parallels Small Business Panel. It is intended for users who do not need functions for reselling shared hosting services and accommodating new resellers and customers.

              To enable the power user mode through the Panel command line:
              On Windows systems, issue the command:
              %plesk_bin%\poweruser.exe --on -ip <ip-address> -domain <domain_name>

              On Linux systems, issue the command:
              /usr/local/psa/bin/poweruser --on -ip <ip-address> -domain <domain_name>

              Thanks and Regards,
              EdwardS
