Dynamic DNS (DDNS or DynDNS) is a system that automatically updates the name server in the Domain Name System (DNS) with the custom domain name and ever-changing IP addresses.
In the situation of dynamic IP addresses, where the IP address is mapped to a custom domain that changes regularly, the DNS approach is useful.
DDNS is not necessary in the case of a static IP address assigned to a custom domain. A dynamic IP address is typically assigned to household or small business customers. Big enterprises generally use static IPs with their domain names.

DDNS is the acronym for Dynamic DNS and refers to a method of automatically updating the name server present in the DNS or Domain Name System.
It can be of great help with the web resources that change their IP addresses on a regular basis. This duration can be either daily or even hourly. DNS records are usually updated through a local router or server whenever there is a change in the IP address of the resource. This is of no concern for the typical web hosting plans as these web hosting deploy the fragments or blocks of static IP addresses.
It can be seen as expected features of several internet-enabled devices as these are fetched with dynamically new IP addresses every time the device is restarted.
