# May not be free forever.
# Limited web page space.
# Search engines often ignore them A HUGE disadvantage!
# May have banners and/or pop ads on your homepage and/or all of your pages.
# No guarantees of site availability and longevity.
# Poor help and support options (if any).

Yes you are right @jhon23 also you don't have access to manipulate the page and the database and you can't get any benefit in terms of earnings through your website. It is better to pay some dollar to get all the benefit you have listed.

Well I'm still kind of new at this but also wondered about the free hosting, going by the old saying: You get what you pay for....well guess they could be good for some things, but I've been checking out the all the eUKhosting has to offer, so think I will go with someone who will be there to help whenever you need it.

That's a good list, though there are still many other disadvantages of using free hosting service. That's why I always go for paid hosting service. With any of hosting plans here, what you will get is worth every penny you will pay for it.

Quality never comes for Free.

Where there is a Free Web Host I tell you the “trust” issue is for sure.
Most of the time you see people ignore the guy distributing “free glares” on the street corner. Though they may be great glares, but still they are doubtful as they are being distributed for free. The street guy has a credibility issue vs. the vendor selling from a regular storefront.

I am sure webmasters will look at free web hosting services in the same way.
