How to monetize spare servers and bandwidth?

Hi All, Im here to seek help with monetizing my spare server (though not a very fast one) and the bandwidth. Can someone please suggest me fews ways to get things going?
Let me tell beforehand, that I do not look for any big income through it, but just dont want the server to gather dust. Any help would be appreciated.

In my opinion, the best way would be colocating them at a fully equipped data center, and give them on rent basis. Maintaining the server from your home based connectivity may cause a big issues for people deciding to rent them.

Thanks for the suggestions macdale. If I colocate it, do I need to look for customers or would the datacenter give me leads about the interested customers?

Since you are colocating your hardware to a datacenter, you'd need to find your own customers. Unless ofcourse, if you manage to convince the datacenter officials to pay you certain fixed amount for using your servers (which I doubt if they accept this), only in then the datacenter would find customers.

Just a suggestion, why don't you look for using it as a game server, since gaming is the highest earning industry, you too might earn good out of it. Or else, you might also want to run it as a proxy server, this too is in great demand, especially by the people who are into SEO business.
