There are lots of CMS available for Linux platform, but I am not so familiar with Linux. Are there any free content management systems that could run on Windows hosting platform ? which will provide an admin page on the website after installation so that I can manage my site content without touching the script files.

Joomla doesn't have any OS restriction to install it. There are many PHP and MySQL based CMS available for free. If you are interested in an advanced and premium CSM then you can go for the Adobe Contribute - Web Publishing Software, but you will need to install a desktop application.
