Sub domain hosting on other server

    Hi,

I've got one domain hosted on Linux server say xyz.com having many subdomains like sub1.xyz.com , sub2.xyz.com . Then If I wish to host sub1.xyz.com to Windows server but rest all the things on Linux Hosting or visa versa.

Is it technically possible? If yes then how to config

I don't know is it possible or not. If not then please excuse me

What you need to do is to point the A record of the sub-domain to the other server. Suppose you've xyz.com hosted on a (Linux) server, having sub1, sub2,.... subdomains on it & want sub1.xyz.com to work from a different server (Windows), what you need to do is, update the DNS A record of sub1.xyz.com to point to the other server (Windows), doing so will make it to point to the server you want & vice-versa

It's even possible to run emails of the domain from another server. You can simply update the MX records of the domain and the emails will run from the other server.

Well, it's nice to see that this is possible. I stumbled upon this issue with my previous hosting company, who didn't know how to provide assistance.

So, could the eUKhost technical support team take care of something like this (update the DNS A record of sub1.xyz.com to point to the other server) in case the client is not quite skilled to do it?

Yes, our technical support team does provide assistance to clients with updating DNS records in case they are not able to do the updates themselves.
