What type of Online Business Should we start?

My husband and I would really like to start an online business. We don't want to sign up for someone else's business and get into a scam. My husband is an IT Tech and anything dealing with computers he can do, including building webpages. Any ideas on what type of online business we could start? We don't have alot of money to invest. Anyone started the own online business and made a decent extra income, or even better made their full income? Again nothing like online mystery shopper, survey taker, etc. We want to build our's from scratch

First of all, you will have to decide what type of products or services you would like to sell on the website. You should make a decent research about the products and services you can offer and whether you would like to launch the business locally or worldwide.

Once you are done with this, you can think of a domain you wish to register, order a hosting plan and start developing your website (you can also develop the website before and order the hosting plan later).

You won't need to spend a lot of money to register a domain and order the hosting plan as you can start with a shared hosting plan in the initial stages and upgrade later.

That is the good thing you and your husband going to start online business. I suggest you to first make a plan of how much you are gonna invest in this business and you have to search and make detail of the products people are buying online frequently in your region. If I would start an online business living in Pakistan I would prefer used mobile phones, branded watches, jewellery, Cell Phone and Computer accessories and the stuff like young generation willing to buy here. I know there is demand of these things.

So do some research first then start and do hard work and it needs time too.

Well, starting an online business for web design and development is a great idea if you and can guarantee success if you have enough skills. However, when it comes to search engine optimization, I would suggest you to stay away from it as you can never guarantee results to your customers and these type of companies are short lived as the customers don't turn out to be long term customers.

Entering a search engine optimization business is never worth it. Most of the companies do not work out as it's not possible to meet the demands of the customer. Most of the customers expect top rankings for all the keywords which is next to impossible.
