Quick difference between JavaScript and JQuery

JavaSrcipt is the most popular scripting language in the world of internet. JavaScript is compatible and works fine with almost all the web browsers like Internet Explorer,Google Chrome, Opera, Safari and FireFox.
On the other hand, JQuery is more fast than JavaScript and consists of JavaScript Library which simplifies HTML document (Hyper Text Markup Language) traversing, event handling(commands),animations, and AJAX(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) which helps in increasing the web development speed.

JavaScript supports both ECMA Script and Document Object Model.
JQuery supports only Document Object Model

JavaScript is more complicated to code.
JQuery is more easier to code.
    Regards,

    What is JavaScript?
JavaScript is a scripting language that was designed for use within a web browser. Typically, JavaScript is used for interface interactions. Slideshows and other interactive components are typically done using JavaScript.

    What is jQuery?
JQuery is simply a specific library of JavaScript code. There are many other JavaScript code libraries such as MooTools, but jQuery has become the most popular because it is so easy to use and extremely powerful.

Re: Difference between JavaSrcipt and JQuery

In simple terms, Javascript is a client-side scripting language that uses the visitors web browser to manipulate the page and page actions. Rather than being executed on the server, as is the case with server-side code such as ASP and PHP, Javascript code is executed in the visitor's web browser. JQuery is a library of functions that can be used to provide web pages with functionality and to manipulate pages and data, and has been developed using the Javascript language.
